By accessing and using Edu Member's editing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Services
Edu Member provides professional editing services for academic and professional documents. Our services include:
- Grammar, spelling, and punctuation corrections
- Style and clarity improvements
- Sentence structure refinement
- Feedback and suggestions for content improvement
We do not write original content or complete assignments on behalf of clients.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate account information
- Submit only your own original work for editing
- Not submit content that violates laws or third-party rights
- Use our services in compliance with your institution's academic integrity policies
- Pay for services rendered according to our pricing structure
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
4. Payment Terms
- Prices are calculated per page (250-300 words)
- Payment is required before editing begins
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Rush fees apply for expedited turnaround times

5. Refund Policy
We offer refunds under the following conditions:
- Full refund if we cannot match you with an editor within 24 hours
- Full refund if your document is not edited within the promised timeframe
- Partial refund if editing quality does not meet our standards (case-by-case basis)
- No refunds after the edited document has been delivered, except in cases of significant quality issues
6. Editor Qualifications
All our editors are:
- Based in the United States
- Native English speakers or equivalent proficiency
- Graduates of accredited universities
- Experienced in academic and professional editing
- Background-checked and verified
7. Turnaround Times
We make every effort to meet stated turnaround times. However, times may vary based on:
- Document length and complexity
- Editor availability
- Technical issues beyond our control
If we cannot meet the agreed turnaround time, we will notify you immediately and offer alternatives.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your submitted documents. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to:
- Access and edit your documents
- Store documents temporarily for service provision
- Use anonymized data for quality improvement
Editors may not use your work for any purpose outside of providing editing services.
9. Limitation of Liability
Edu Member provides editing services as-is. We are not responsible for:
- Grades or evaluations received on edited documents
- Academic integrity violations resulting from improper use of our services
- Technical issues or data loss beyond our control
- Consequential damages arising from service use
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
10. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our services to:
- Submit work that is not your own
- Violate academic integrity policies
- Engage in fraudulent activities
- Harass or abuse editors or staff
- Circumvent payment systems
- Submit illegal or harmful content
11. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our services.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New York State. Disputes will be resolved in New York courts.
